Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Kyali wo mobile apps and web app (together, the "Service"), operated in Uganda. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Kyali wo Is

Kyali wo helps clients discover, book, and order from local service businesses through an AI chat interface, and gives business owners tools to manage bookings, orders, inventory, and payments. Kyali wo is a marketplace and booking platform — we connect clients and businesses, but the business itself is responsible for the service or product it provides.

2. Accounts

Business owner accounts require a valid phone number. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent/guardian's permission, to create an account.

3. Bookings, Orders, and Payments

• Bookings and orders placed through Kyali wo are agreements between you and the business — Kyali wo is not a party to that agreement.
• Where in-app deposit or order payments are offered, payments are processed via MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money and paid directly to the business. Kyali wo does not hold funds in escrow.
• Cancellation, refund, and rescheduling policies are set by the individual business, not by Kyali wo.

4. Subscriptions (Business Owners)

Kyali wo offers an optional auto-renewing Premium subscription for business owners with the following features and terms:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID account settings (iOS) or Google Play subscriptions (Android). Kyali wo cannot process cancellations directly — they must be done through the app store you subscribed with.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Business Owner Responsibilities

If you list a business, you're responsible for the accuracy of your listing (pricing, availability, photos, descriptions) and for fulfilling bookings and orders you accept. You agree not to list a business you don't own or aren't authorized to represent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service for anything illegal; harass, abuse, or defraud other users; upload content you don't have the right to use; attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service; or misuse the AI chat to generate harmful content.

7. Content You Provide

You retain ownership of photos, descriptions, and other content you upload. By uploading it, you give Kyali wo a license to display it within the Service (for example, showing your business photos to clients searching nearby).

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app's menu (Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that businesses listed on Kyali wo will be available, accurate, or of any particular quality — that's between you and the business. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kyali wo is not liable for any dispute, loss, or damage arising from a booking, order, or payment made through the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda.
